In this post we will concentrate on colour trends, which has a very powerful influence on interior design. While this year was all about emerald green and tropical motives, we can clearly see that the upcoming trends in home d\u00e9cor for 2018 are spinning around smoky shades of blue.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"dt-single-image\" href=\"https:\/\/salanora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/pantone-blues-1.png\" data-dt-img-description=\"\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15682 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/salanora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/pantone-blues-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"756\" height=\"558\" srcset=\"https:\/\/salanora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/pantone-blues-1.png 756w, https:\/\/salanora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/pantone-blues-1-300x221.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 756px) 100vw, 756px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>A Bit About Blue<\/h2>\n<p>Because blue is usually linked to the sky or water, most people associate blue with peace, tranquillity and relax. The research conducted at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ubc.ca\/\">University of British Columbia<\/a> has shown that blue colour also boosts our creativity. The fact that blue helps us to be calm and relaxed also makes people feel safe about being innovative and exploratory. Makes sense.<\/p>\n<p>Blue it\u2019s considered a \u2018safe\u2019 colour that most people have nothing against it. It is used very often as a primary colour of many businesses and companies \u2013 look at Facebook or Twitter. Blue can become a background for almost any other colour if the tones are chosen correctly.\u00a0 It is important to remember that it can create a very cold feeling which &#8211; in interior design &#8211; can be seen as unpleasant and unwelcoming.<\/p>\n<p>To avoid this, we recommend using textures what feel warm and soft.
